A compendium for arts and antiques enthusiast

The international exhibition “Sofia – Istanbul: Bridge of Art” was officially opened on 31 July at the prestigious İstiklal Art Gallery in Istanbul.

The opening ceremony was attended by Sefer Karaahmetoğlu, Belediye Başkan Vekili (Acting Mayor) of Beyoğlu, Georgi Kuzmov, Mayor of Sofia’s Oborishte District, and Julia Varbanova, curator of the project.

The exhibition is a continuation of the international project “Sofia – Istanbul: Bridge of Art”, which began at the Union of Bulgarian Artists Gallery in Sofia, continued with an exhibition at the Bulgarian Iron Church St. Stephen in Istanbul, and now reaches its next stage at the prestigious İstiklal Art Gallery in the heart of Beyoğlu.

The project aims to establish a lasting cultural bridge between Sofia and Istanbul through joint exhibitions and artistic exchange between Bulgarian and Turkish artists.

The project is supported by the Union of Bulgarian Artists, the Oborishte and Sredets Districts of the Sofia Municipality, and is organized by Enakor Auction House.

The exhibition continues until 14 August at İstiklal Art Gallery.
