The 2023 Christmas Auction of Auction House Enakor took place on 14th December. Ahead of the Christmas holidays, the auction offered the unique opportunity to all connoisseurs of fine art and antiques to bid for over 200 selected paintings, icons, church plate and valuable royal memorabilia. 

The dynamic auction took place in person, amongst the marvelous atmosphere of the gallery of Auction House Enakor in the heart of the capital, and included bids from the audience, as well as bids by phone, and via the international platforms Invaluables and Lot-tissimo. 

Some of the items won during the auction included paintings by the Bulgarian artists Lika Yanko, Zina Yurdanova, Rumen Skorchev, Stanyu Stamatov, Aleksandra Mechkuevska, Ivan Petrov, along with a wide selection of  splendid icons.

Other items that received interest during the auction included the collection of royal souvenirs, offered for the first time at an auction in Bulgaria. 

Two of the war paintings of Dimitar Gyudzenov – Lot 1 “To the front” and Lot 3 “Battle scene”, as well as Lot 14 “To the village of Vina – Kniazhevsko” by Stanyu Stamatov were purchased ahead of the auction by the National War History Museum, as discovered by Rositsa Gicheva-Meimari, PhD, were preparatory artworks for paintings already exhibited in the museum.
