A compendium for arts and antiques enthusiast

The project “Sofia – Istanbul: Bridge of Art” continues its journey in Istanbul with an exhibition dedicated to Turkish contemporary artists whose personal and creative biographies are connected to Bulgaria.

This exhibition is a space of memory and belonging — a place where cultural boundaries blur and identity unfolds between two cities, two histories, and two artistic contexts. The works carry a sense of movement — between language and image, between past and present, between home and journey.

The exhibition tells the story of the invisible threads that connect Sofia and Istanbul through personal narratives, cultural memory, and contemporary artistic thinking. It affirms the belief that art has no religion and no political affiliation — it belongs solely to the human spirit and to the freedom to create and share.

The opening will take place on June 11 at the Iron Church in Istanbul — a space of strong historical and spiritual symbolism, transforming the meeting of cultures into a living gesture of respect and dialogue.

The project will continue on August 1 at Beyoğlu Gallery, part of the Beyoğlu district — a historic neighborhood and cultural heart of Istanbul, where tradition and contemporary art coexist naturally.

“Sofia – Istanbul: Bridge of Art” is not simply an exhibition — it is an ongoing dialogue that transcends borders and creates space for shared sensitivity and cultural mutual understanding.
